I have this really bad habit of buying books and magazines and never making time to read them. A new book will be released and I'll hunt it down to purchase it, browse through its pages once I bring it home, sometimes making time to read the first few chapters, and inevitably it will end up sitting on a specific shelf of my bookcase collecting dust. This process has happened over and over again and yet I always find myself justifying yet another book purchase to Jeff because I believe the scenario will somehow be different because it's by this author or it's in that genre. So this year, as part of my unexpected implementation of a new year's resolution, I'm going to attempt to incorporate more time to sit down and read. Attempt being the key word here.

Here are a few of the books I hope I will actually make time to finally read, along with some of Jeff's picks as well. After seeing how quickly he read the entire Hunger Games series when I'd never actually seen him read a book he wasn't assigned to read, I became a believer in his hidden affinity for leisurely reading. The random things you learn when you're married to someone long enough!

1. Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
2. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
