STYLE: MIXING OLD & NEW PIECES

I know it sounds cliché, but shopping for clothes, accessories and beauty products is one of my favorite things to do.  I always say that if I had a bigger clothing budget, it wouldn't be difficult to look cute more often.  I don't consider myself a fashionista by any means and most days I wouldn't say I look very fashion forward.  But every so often, I'm inspired to put certain pieces together and I feel like I get it right.  Even if it's only for a day at a time.

I recently updated my wardrobe with a new pair of heels.  Anyone who knows me knows this is a big deal because I'm the self proclaimed queen of wearing flats.  When I brought them home I immediately started thinking about which skirts I already own that I wanted to pair them with.  A skirt that I've literally owned for 6+ years and purchased for $20 or less (and can't seem to let go of) seemed like the perfect compliment.  Along with a blazer that's been sitting in my closet but I haven't had the chance to wear yet.  It's amazing how just one or two new pieces of clothing or accessories can make old pieces feel fresh again.
